Ryanair least popular airline in Europe

Ryanair is the least popular airline in Europe, according to a recent survey.

The budget airline from Ireland is criticized by travelers for the low quality of its services, according to a survey conducted by Travelzoo. Unsurprisingly, Europeans tend to favor their national carriers.

Among respondents, 22 percent of the French, 38 percent of the Germans, 48 percent of the Brits and 56 percent of the Spaniards admitted that Ryanair was the airline they liked the least.

22 percent of the French preferred Air France, 30 percent of the Germans favored Lufthansa, 21 percent of the Brits opted for British Airways, and 16 percent of the Spanish selected Iberia.

Comfort, price transparency and amenities on board was important factors, according to Travelzoo.
The survey was conducted online in October 2012 among 5,360 Travelzoo subscribers.
