Landing was aborted because of time limitation

The crew on a domestic flight for Widerøe in Norway aborted an approach due to time limitations.
The flight was coming in to land at Mosjøen airport and lowered the landing gear.

But instead of landing, the aircraft with 40 passengers on-board returned to Vaernes airport.

The reason for this was that the crew's working time would have been exceeded, and with no extra crew in Mosjøen meant that the plane would have been grounded there, and the return flight would have been cancelled.

The passengers was compensated for this inconvenience according to the airline, DN.se reports.
