Right before 3 pm today Central European Time it was announced that Scandinavian Airlines Systems, SAS will keep on flying. This came true after the the last of the eight labor unions signed the treaty with SAS, according to the Danish news agency Ritzau and the Norwegian NTB.
As expected, the Danish Cabin Crew Labor Union, known to be hard in negotiations, was the last to sign the new working contract. Lower salary, longer working hours, more work days per year, and changes to the retirement plans were some of the ingredients in the new contract.
This was the first, but crucial step for SAS on it's route to recovery.
