Flybe UK offer automatic check-in

Flybe first UK airline to offer automatic check-in at point of booking.

Flybe is Europe’s largest regional airline. It will now be the first UK carrier to offer its passengers an automatic check-in option at the point of booking online.

If you are booking your ticket between 36 and 15 hours prior to departure, an electronic boarding pass will automatically be sent direct to your smart phone or e-mail. The product is being introduced initially at nine of Flybe’s largest airports namely Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Jersey, London Gatwick,  Manchester and Southampton with automated e-mail check-in only, available from an additional 17 airports.

If you choose the SMS option, all you will simply need to do is tho show your phone to pass through security and board the plane, Breakingtravelnews.com reports.

  1. Travel agents used to have to do most of the leg work for us before but with most people being able to access the Internet, it's just as easy to look for cheap airline tickets yourself.

  2. Thanks Andy. You are right. If you fly within one airline's route system or with one airline alliance, I also find it much easier and more convenient to book over the internet.
